Forgefire Technologies LLP (“Forgefire”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you visit https://forgefire.co (the “Site”), use any of our mobile or desktop applications (each an “App”), or otherwise interact with us (together, the “Services”).
1. Who we are
Forgefire Technologies LLP is a Limited Liability Partnership incorporated and registered in India. We design and build software products and applications across a range of consumer and professional categories. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), we act as the Data Fiduciary in respect of personal data processed through the Services.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to personal data we process through the Services, including via our Site (such as our waitlist and contact forms) and via our Apps. Individual Apps may include an additional, App-specific privacy notice where their data practices differ from this Policy; where there is a conflict, the App-specific notice governs for that App. This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that we do not own or control, including the app stores from which our Apps are distributed.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Contact details — your email address when you join our waitlist, sign up for updates, or contact us.
- Communications — the contents of any message you send us and our correspondence with you.
- Information you enter into an App — content and settings you choose to provide while using an App, such as a place name or location you search for, equipment or configuration details, activity you log, and any photo you choose to attach from your camera or photo library. Unless an App states otherwise, this content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Information stored on your device
Our Apps are designed around data minimisation. Wherever practical, the information you create in an App (such as profiles, projects, logs, and preferences) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us. We do not require you to create an account or sign in to use our Apps unless a specific App states otherwise, and we do not use advertising identifiers or collect account credentials or device identifiers for our own purposes. Where an App offers subscriptions or in-app purchases, a per-vendor device identifier and your purchase history are shared with our subscription provider solely to manage those purchases, as described in “Subscriptions and purchases” below.
Information sent to third-party services to provide features
Some App features depend on third-party services and cannot work without contacting them. When you use such a feature, the minimum data needed for that feature may be sent directly to the relevant provider. For example, an App may send a place name you type, or coordinates you have chosen, to a mapping, geocoding, or weather provider in order to return results, and fonts or other static assets may be loaded from a content-delivery network on first use. These requests are made to deliver the feature you requested and are subject to the relevant provider’s own privacy policy.
Subscriptions and purchases
Some Apps offer optional paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. Payments are processed by the relevant app store (Apple or Google); we do not receive or store your payment card details. To make purchases work — such as validating receipts, unlocking features you have paid for, and restoring purchases across your devices — we use a third-party subscription-management provider (RevenueCat). To deliver this feature, limited data is sent to that provider, including your purchase and transaction history, a randomly generated app-user identifier, a per-vendor device identifier supplied by your operating system, and technical data such as your country. This data is used solely to manage your entitlements, is processed under the provider’s own privacy policy, and is not used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data (Site) — such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs, collected through standard logs and analytics on the Site.
- App store data — when you download or use an App, the relevant app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play) may collect information in accordance with its own policies, over which we have no control.
- Cookies and similar technologies (Site) — see the “Cookies and analytics” section below.
Unless disclosed within a specific App, our Apps do not embed third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking software, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (including health information) through the Services at this time. Please do not submit such information to us through the Services.
4. How we use your information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Services and our offerings.
- To provide the features you request, including features that rely on third-party providers.
- To provide and manage subscriptions and in-app purchases, including validating receipts, unlocking paid features, and restoring purchases.
- To respond to your enquiries and to send you updates, early-access invitations, and other communications you have requested.
- To understand usage and analyse and improve performance.
- To protect the security and integrity of the Services and to prevent fraud or misuse.
- To comply with applicable laws and enforce our legal rights.
5. Legal basis and consent
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you provide (for example, when you submit your email to join the waitlist) and for other lawful purposes permitted under the DPDP Act and applicable Indian law. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time as described in “Your rights” below; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
6. Cookies and analytics
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, and analyse usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality. Where we use analytics providers, they may process limited usage data on our behalf.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf, such as our form provider, hosting/infrastructure providers, and subscription and in-app-purchase providers (for example, RevenueCat), under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Feature providers — third-party services that an App contacts directly to deliver a feature you have requested (such as mapping, geocoding, weather, or content-delivery providers). These providers receive only the data needed for that feature and process it under their own privacy policies.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
8. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Data security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process or store data outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we take steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with applicable law and this Policy.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, you may have the right to:
- Access and obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction, completion, or updating of your data.
- Request erasure of your data where permitted by law.
- Withdraw consent previously given.
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
- Make a grievance and, where applicable, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

13. Children
The Services are not directed to children. Where required under the DPDP Act, we will obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before processing the personal data of a child (an individual under 18 years of age). If you believe a child has provided us personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
14. Third-party links and services
The Services may contain links to, or rely on, third-party websites, platforms, and services (including app stores and the feature providers described above). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above indicates when the current version took effect. Material changes will be notified through the Site or other appropriate means.
